Meet @ the Cade Inventor Series: Talar Terzian
Name: Meet @ the Cade Inventor Series: Talar Terzian
Date: March 30, 2019
Time: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT
Talar Terzian, a senior at Oak Hall School in Gainesville Florida, is an aspiring young innovator who has been working in the field of off-the-grid design since 6th grade. Specializing in non-electric laundry devices, Talar Terzian was selected as one of the Top 30 Broadcom MASTERS and had the opportunity to visit President Barack Obama in the White House. She has been invited to speak at the United Nations Headquarters for the Women and Girls in Science Day the past two years in a row and has spent her high school career competing in local, state, national, and international science fairs. The patented Spin-Cycle Mobile Washer, a low-cost, non-electric, mobile washing machine, was built as a potential DIY project whose plans could be disseminated to those in need in less industrialized areas. The Spin Cycle is constructed from landfill-bound materials including an old seed-spreader, recycled trash cans and whiffle balls, repurposed screen mesh, nuts, and bolts, as well as sand and river pebbles. Meet Talar this Saturday and learn more about her invention!
