Works independently under the direction of, and is responsible to, the Director of Finance / Controller. Works closely with Financial Staff to set the direction for the Finance department and to ensure that goals and objectives are met.
Potential responsibilities to be assigned by the Director of Finance or Controller include:
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general accountants to ensure accounts are properly maintained.
Perform specific reconciliations as assigned.
Monitor monthly close process to ensure company deadlines met.
Provide support for Budget and Forecasting.
Key role in supporting the external audits.
Manage monthly board, sponsor and lender reporting. Debt covenant calculations.
Manage staff to successfully accomplish goals and objectives. Perform quarterly evaluations for assigned staff.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
BBA/BS in Accounting. Minimum five years experience in a functional managerial role. Requires a strong knowledge of process and internal accounting controls. SAP experience preferred. Strong technical accounting skills required. CPA desired, but not required. Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
Successful experience in planning, developing objectives, meeting deadlines, achieving goals, communicating with management, communicating with, supervising, and motivating employees.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills a must. Also, must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must be able to effectively communicate accounting and financial concepts to non-financial management. Additional qualities include: ability to effectively represent RTI on behalf of the company; demonstrated ability to bring a forward-looking business perspective to resolving problems and issues; self starter, action-oriented, and able to motivate others in positive ways.
