LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Facilities Equipment Manager in Gainesville, FL

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 125 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.  We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services.  With more than 30 donor centers, 50 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.

What You Will Own
This position is responsible for lifecycle management of fixed equipment and critical equipment deployed in our centers. The Manager will participate in selecting, maintaining, and tracking the overall performance of equipment through its lifecycle.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Supervise and provide direction for skilled inhouse repairs.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair on critical equipment.
- Perform annual review of critical repair vendors for equipment.
- Coordinate with QA and Operations to ensure timely repair and validation of equipment.
- Manage spare parts inventory and repair parts bins.
- Track equipment KPIs such as down time, break fix frequency, and life cycle cost.
- Make recommendations for repair or replace based on data collected for KPIs.
- Work closely with Director of Facilities to prioritize and allocate resources towards equipment replacements.
-  Must be able to operate company vehicle
- Attendance is required for this position

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of five years in equipment or facility management experience
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
- Ability to understand contracts, plans, and warranties on equipment.
- Excellent computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively
- Exceptional customer Service
- Valid driver’s license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Universal HVAC Technician
- Technical repair experience
