Job Description
Cryos International USA, a leading international sperm bank with headquarters in Orlando, is seeking a highly motivated Full Time Laboratory Technologist or Andrologist to fill positions in our new Gainesville location. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a new location. Key elements of this position are quality, production, distribution, and service.

The position requires great attention to detail and strict adherence to company laboratory procedures. The candidate should have the ability to work systematically and independently once trained. Previous experience in andrology is preferred but not required. Training will be provided in our Orlando location and will require three weeks in the Orlando location. Travel and expenses for training will be covered. This is a non-supervisory position.
Hours will be Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday depending on staffing needs. Non-Exempt Position $20.00- $30.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations: * Registration, analysis, handling, and cryo-preservation of semen samples * Organizes work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling; sorting specimens, verifying labeling, logging specimens, arranging reports for delivery, keeping work surfaces clean and orderly. * Maintains patient and donor confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential. * Responsible for processing, storage, shipping and tracking of tissue bank specimens. * Counseling client depositors on the results of their analysis * Stock handling of laboratory supplies and handling of cryos-preserved stock * Blood collection, requisition preparation, responsible for scheduling batch closes, and packing of collection kits. * Daily Quality control * Ensure that PT specimens are handled in the same manner as patient specimens. * Assist the Laboratory Supervisor and Manager with various projects * Preparing specimens and samples. * Ensure production goals are met for each donor specimen. * Identifies and communicates substandard donor specimens by alerting supervisory personnel. * General laboratory duties and maintenance including constructing, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment ie centrifuges, titrations, pipets, and fume hoods. * Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyzes. * Alerting supervisory personnel of laboratory stock needs. * Recording and sometimes interpreting results to present to senior colleagues. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Flexible schedule may be required for adequate staffing
