Job Opening Summary

The Audiologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, assess and manage disorders of the auditory, balance and other neural systems. The Audiologists must be able to provide audiological (aural) rehabilitation to children and adults across the entire age span. The Audiologists must be able to prevent hearing loss through the provision and fitting of hearing protective devices, consultation on the effects of noise on hearing, and consumer education. The Audiologists must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patient and the individual must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Licensed in the state of Florida.
  • Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) or PhD, and demonstrates knowledge and skill in a broad range of therapy services and settings.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills.


  • Licensed by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
*** Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $31.16
*** Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $41.10
