We are seeking a Clinical Specialist to join our team. The Clinical Specialist will provide coaching and consultation to Dependency Case Managers and other key staff to address psychiatric needs of children and adolescents in care. Additionally, the Clinical Specialist will provide quality assurance via monthly record audits for children who are receiving psychotropic medication. This position reports to the Behavioral Health Coordinator/Clinical Supervisor.
Salary: Starting at: $46,776.98/ year
Location: Gainesville, Florida
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Florida’s child welfare system and community social services. This candidate must also have knowledge of clinical issues specifically related to psychotropic medication for children and be skilled in managing multiple priorities and conflicting demands. They must be skilled in interpersonal communication, collaborative problem solving and planning, and using teachable moments to reinforce best practice. This candidate must have the ability to use data to inform practice and implements results-based best practices. They also need to be able to use computer software and automated systems.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling Education or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health or child welfare setting.
Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s license; have and maintain an acceptable driving record; and have accessible, reliable transportation.
Experience in the State of Florida child welfare system.
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling Education or equivalent.
