SIMEDHealth is looking for a full time IT Support Technician. The IT Tech will participate in projects under the Director of Information Technology and must possess working knowledge of computers and troubleshooting.

The IT Support Technician is responsible for assisting employees with desktop support, fixing printer issues, troubleshooting office applications, along with detecting and solving technical problems when issues arise, to assure that SIMEDHealth continues to run smoothly. The IT Support Technician will also be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of all computer workstations and associated software within the company. The IT Support Technician is the first line of customer support for the organization and is critical in the everyday operations of SIMEDHealth.  The IT Support Technician should be pro-active and assist the team in looking for ways to educate staff to help avoid support issues whenever possible.

Desktop technician will work at multiple locations.  The hours will be split between locations. The work will be done during the hours the office is open, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm. Some after hour time as needed.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in computer science or related field (1-2 years of applicable experience may substitute for education).
  • Valid Florida driver’s license REQUIRED
  • Reliable transportation REQUIRED
  • Ability to articulate effectively in both oral and written form REQUIRED
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly and efficiently meet deadlines REQUIRED
  • This position may require the physical ability push, pull, lift and carry computer equipment without assistance up to 25lbs and with assistance up to 50lbs.
  • This position may require the physical ability to bend, squat, crawl, climb, or similar.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with computers and troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience REQUIRED (previous customer service experience within computer support field PREFERRED)

IT Support Technician Duties:

  • Phone, remote, and desk side technical support
  • Support email, directories, and standard windows applications.
  • Configuration of communication devices and peripherals
  • Connects and restores PC Workstations to operational status
  • Desk side user training for proper operational use of hardware and software
  • Other Duties Assigned as needed.
