Job Description

REPORTS TO:              Front Office Manager and General Manager
REQUIRED TASKS:               According to Hotel Standards:
                                                Guest Check-In and Check-Out
                                                Perform daily check lists and tasks
                                                Cash and Credit Card /Debit Card Transactions
                                                Switchboard Operation and telephone etiquette
                                                Front Office Emergency/Security Procedures
                                                Reservations - Both Guest Rooms & Meeting Rooms
                                                Assist Manager with Administrative Tasks and other duties as assigned by
                                                the General Manager or FD Supervisor
                                                Clean the Front Desk and Lobby Area Daily
                                                Assist with Breakfast Bar if necessary / monitor cleanliness of bar and tables
                                                Minor Decision Making including the 100% Guarantee program
                                                Book group room blocks – Take Group reservations
                                                Sales of Guest rooms with new arrivals and phone inquiries
                                                Follow all Policies & Procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
                                                Must be in neat, clean uniform w/ name tag
                                                Operate the laundry as directed
                                                Maintain a professional attitude to all Guests, associates, and vendors
REQUIRED SKILLS:              Fluent verbal and written communications in proper English. (Spanish, if possible)
                                                Basic Math
                                                Hand Writing
                                                Computer Skills / Keyboard/Typing skills
                                                Operate a 10-key Calculator
                                                Hospitable, Civil Contact with the Public
                                                Ability to Work Independently, with little or no Supervision
                                                Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
                                                Night Audit Basic accounting skills/training
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:                    
                                                NECK – Bending/Twisting
                                                AUDITORY - Ability to read and comprehend emergency and security information including labels and                                                 directions.  Ability to communicate emergency situations to supervisor in English.  Normal conversation.
                                                HEARING - Ability to hear emergency alarms, telephone, conversation.
                                                VISION - Legal normal vision with or without accommodation.
                                                ARMS - Reaching, bending arms, light carrying pushing, pulling.
                                                HANDS - Finger dexterity, grasping
                                                TRUNK - Bending and twisting
                                                LEGS - Normal balance, crouching or kneeling
                                                FEET - Standing for long periods, walking
