This talented person will work with a number of teams at Cox, providing HR support in recruiting, compensation, talent planning, benefits, training, employee relations and more. Not only will they support our tactical and strategic HR activities, but they will also build a partnership with leaders to provide consultation, guidance, metrics and development to help increase effectiveness.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior HR Generalist, you’ll play an integral role in our collaborative HR team, partnering and providing support to our business partners to deploy solutions directly to the business. But that’s just the beginning. Here’s what else you’ll get to do:

  • Lead projects/influence/obtain buy-in to drive execution and achievement of desired results
  • Develop and recommend solutions to a variety of human resources issues
  • Participate and lead special projects and best in class initiatives
  • Advise leaders and employees on employee relations policies and practices
  • Coach and consult with leaders to advise and help resolve employee relations issues, including performance issues, disciplinary actions and terminations, employee conflicts, policy violations, etc.
  • Investigate employee issues and complaints and makes recommendations to management to resolve and respond
  • Interpret and apply programs, policies, and procedures and ensures compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations, if applicable, to include Fair Labor Standards Act, Labor Management Relations Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, etc.
  • Help prepare and guide hiring managers through the hiring process
  • Prepares reports and analyzes data for information reporting and leadership decision-making

Who You Are

As an HR professional, you’re used to acting with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality, while being an effective communicator. We’ll also need you to be comfortable in engaging in multiple HR activities in a fast-paced, team environment, as well as have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. And as a Senior HR Generalist, we’re also counting on you to have the qualities listed below.



  • Where permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this U.S. based job.  (Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.)
  • 5+ years of experience required in Human Resources or related field; 3 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a client group providing day to day human resources consultation
  • Prior experience using Oracle PeopleSoft, managing data
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated client service and/or support orientation
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time


  • BS/BA in related discipline strongly preferred (i.e. Human Resources, Business, Management, and Organizational Development).
  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired
