Infotech® is seeking a Senior Business Specialist to support product vision and strategy by gathering business requirements for a suite of web-based products used in road and infrastructure construction. Using  a mix of strong analytical, communication, and technical skills, you will  serve as an important connector bridging the gap between product management, engineering, and, most importantly, our customers.

What We Are Looking For

Infotech is seeking a Senior Business Specialist to join the ITI Products Discovery and Analysis department. In this role, you will gather requirements through documentation analysis, customer feedback, joint application design sessions, and other techniques. You will collaborate with Product Managers and Business Analysts to assess the suitability of features for intended outcomes through research and design thinking principles. With a mix of analytical skills and technical curiosity, you ensure requirements bring clarity, focus, and prioritization to our engineering teams while remaining focused on meeting customer needs.  


  • Cultivating a deep understanding of the customer, and representing the customer perspective to engineers, sales, and other employees.
  • Collaborating with and supporting Product Managers and Business Analysts to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Discovery and Analysis leadership through the analysis of data and customer feedback.
  • Assessing market data and studying existing features to evaluate effectiveness; proposing enhancements based on customer needs.
  • Collecting and documenting product needs and translating them, with the assistance of Technical Writers, into clear and specific requirements for the Product Design unit.
  • Assisting in testing business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing; providing feedback to product teams.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science or in related fields plus 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with and/or exposure to the software development life cycle or equivalent combination obtained through past work experience, internships and/or coursework
  • Detail oriented work style with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to work professionally with all levels of leadership
  • Capable of working in a collaborative team environment
  • Working understanding of design thinking methodologies

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of SaaS application concepts and the software development life cycle
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Google Analytics is a plus


Infotech is located in Gainesville, Florida. Come to work in our state of the art facility in Celebration Pointe where you can enjoy daily visits from award-winning food trucks and stunning nature views over Split Rock Conservation Area. 

Currently, all employees are working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, but once our office reopens, our preference is to hire someone in Gainesville or willing to relocate to Gainesville. 

Other Requirements

Up to 10% travel may be required. Rest assured. We take our employees’ safety seriously. Right now, no employees are traveling until the COVID-19 risk passes; however, travel is an expectation once normal operations resume.
