Job Description
A Graphic Designer internship at the Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce will assist the Marketing Director in advertising and promotional efforts. The primary duties include building graphic designer campaigns, promotional materials and presentations, and clerical and administrative responsibilities for the various Divisions of the Chamber.  
The Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce is a private, membership-based not-for-profit organization that helps to support the region’s thriving economy and quality of life by providing various programs and services. The Greater Gainesville Chamber's office hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am – 6:30 pm.

Graphic Design
Role: Use Adobe Suite software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) to designs marketing content for the Chamber's four Divisions.   
  • Work with team members (Social Media, Multimedia, Web Content) under the supervision of the Marketing Director to bring concepts and ideas to life. 
  • Create new event logos, fliers, graphics, and templates for social media posts and marketing campaigns.
  • Website and web page building is a plus but not required.  
  • Must be able to provide samples of work. 
  • Must have some proficiency in graphic design content. 
  • The Marketing Director will provide creative and artistic direction, but not software instruction. 
  • Adequate graphic designing experience
  • A portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
  • An eye for aesthetics and details
  • Adequate communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
