Job Description
Job Title:              Member Engagement Manager
Reports to:         Vice President of Member Development
Position Summary:
The Member Engagement Manager is a full-time position, responsible for engaging members through the Chamber and oversees member engagement programming.  This proactive role focused on keeping members engaged and informed will increase our member retention rate.
Individual must be self-motivated team player, results orientated with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high customer support, possess excellent time management skills, be credible and comfortable dealing with a broad spectrum of business industries and people.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Contact current members per the Member Retention Plan.
  • Schedule and coordinate ribbon cutting events with our members.
  • Make retention calls by phone, email and in-person member visits.
  • Confirm renewal letters are sent out by finance and received by members.
  • Reach out to past due members, working with them to maintain their membership.
  • Attain member retention rate goals.
  • Attend and be actively involved in assigned Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce events, programs and organizations including staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required. 
The Member Engagement Manager may be required to work outside of normal business hours, including evening Chamber events, occasional travel to attend conferences and or training classes.
Physical Functions:
Tasks involve the ability to exert a very moderate physical effort in light work, typically some combination of sitting and standing.  Position may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-25 pounds).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, general business or related field of study; or equivalent experience; previous chamber or sales experience preferred; demonstrated customer service and relationship building success, demonstrated ability to meet and exceed assigned revenue and project objectives; excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal; excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills; strong customer relationship and selling skills,; strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office, financial reporting tools and sales management database systems.
Compensation Structure:
This is a full-time salaried position with benefits as outlined in the Greater Gainesville Chamber Employee Handbook.  Benefits include but are not limited to Paid Vacation and Holidays, Health Care Coverage options (Medical, Dental, Life, AFLAC), 401K with a 7% matching contribution.
