Job Description
Salary Range:                        $40,000 - $45,000 + benefits

The Advancement Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Director of Advancement. The
responsibilities of the Advancement Coordinator include managing the agency’s annual fund, managing the
donor database, coordinating donor stewardship, and managing in-kind donations.. The Advancement
Coordinator plays a key role in the day to day operation of GRACE’s advancement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities
● Manage daily donations to the annual fund and enter donations in the donor database. Including
   regular communications with the Finance Manager to ensure the advancement office is informed of
   money coming
● Makes a phone call to every new donor within the first 48 hours of their gift being made
● Manage and coordinate donor stewardship, including but not limited to creating weekly call sheets
   and real-time notice for major gifts.
● Manage in-kind donations, including entering in-kind donation receipts in the donor database,
   answering donor phone calls. Running acknowledgments for in-kind donations daily.
● Provide support for all campaigns, initiatives, and events in collaboration with the advancement
   team

Secondary Responsibilities
● Assists the Assistant Director of Advancement with managing GRACE social media accounts
● Regularly monitor data quality in the donor database
● Assist Director of Advancement with creating mailing lists for direct mail campaigns
● Provides coverage during meal group service as needed requiring occasional shifts in the late
   afternoon and weekend

Requirements
● Two to five years of experience in nonprofit development and advancement, and a proven track
   record of helping people meet their philanthropic goals by partnering with mission-driven nonprofit
   organizations
● Experience with marketing, public relations and communications a plus
● Enthusiastic, excited, and capable of managing small teams to meet goals. Great with attention to
   detail, follow-through, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
● Motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive and creative disposition to generate new ideas
   and strategies that help build a dynamic and compelling fundraising program.
● Superior organizational and communication skills (written & oral)
● Ability to interact with all persons in a professional manner encompassing behavior, dress,
   language, and attitude.
● Ability to work evenings, occasional weekends, and some holidays.

Physical demands
Light physical demands (lots of listening, some talking, and more listening. Working on the computer and
phone. Driving to appointments and events. Lifting light equipment/materials, and occasionally working long
days, nights, or weekends).
