Responsible for maintaining a safe and well-ordered workplace, identifying and resolving safety issues within the department, and ensuring all safety policies and procedures are implemented and observed.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining smooth and productive working relationships with internal and external leads and support functions (Planning, sales, Quality etc) to accomplish department or company goals.
Accountable for accurate communication across and within production shifts for all Packaging functions.
Consults with Manager on personnel attributes of the department, such as hiring for short and long-range staffing plans based on productivity objectives and forecasted volume requirements.

Responsible for hiring and terminations within the department as required

Responsible for accurate performance monitoring in support of appropriate on-time feedback and evaluation and salary adjustments as identified.
Responsible for ensuring that all training for personnel is completed on-time and that training is comprehensive to duties performed by staff.
Responsible for upholding compliance by staff to all company procedures and SOPs in all Packaging Functions and communication to appropriate functions when non-compliance is identified.
Responsible for assistance with FDA and ISO Audits.
Responsible for or is consulted in the development, implementation and adherence to all departmental SOP’s and Work Instructions.
Responsible for ensuring team objectives are met and making appropriate adjustments and/or recommendations to meet changes in demand on a daily weekly and monthly basis using MRP/ERP tools as provided
Responsible for daily balancing of labor availability and volume requirements throughout the department.
Provide consultation and direct labor support of Engineering/Continuous improvement in product and process development as needed.
Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards
Assist and support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary.
