Job Description


  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and commercial customers to attain a SKU-level sales forecast that consistently meets or exceeds accuracy levels necessary to result in maximizing the utilization of working capital.
  • Oversee input, management, and accuracy of forecast data into an ERP system or data storage platform.
  • Provide leadership and coordination for all demand planning and SIOP functions, serving as a key link between sales, marketing, operations, and finance.
  • Develop, document, update, and challenge the factors and assumptions supporting the demand plan.   Highlight and document the assumptions around key changes to the plan during demand review meetings.
  • Lead monthly demand review meetings and ensure the successful completion of the demand review process.
  • Participate and generate information to support the monthly supply review and overall consensus meetings between sales, marketing, operations, and finance.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that support the monthly supply review and overall consensus meetings between sales, marketing, operations, and finance.
  • Develop and prepare documents, charts, diagrams, and other reports to support and indicate demand changes and indicate the potential financial and unit-based impact those changes will have.
  • Interface with supply planners regularly to discuss key in-stock and inventory issues, focus areas for the week, etc.
  • Identify and collaboratively resolve out-of-stock issues, focusing on minimizing shortage occurrences through analysis of data and review of safety stock levels.
  • Build effective relationships and maintain the highest level of customer service with all RTI departments at all levels.
  • Manage special projects in the above areas to help RTI meet its corporate goals and objectives.


  • BS in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent education
  • 2 years direct planning experience
  • Understanding of statistical methods and application in business environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience in high mix/low volume manufacturing environment preferred
  • Medical device and/or biologics manufacturing experience preferred
  • SAP or other major ERP experience preferred


  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without formal authority
  • Proven problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven experience in developing data visualizations and reports
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
