Support the department objective of Clinical Engineering (attachment A). Perform repair, modification, preventive maintenance, safety testing, installation and evaluation of biomedical and other patient care equipment.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate's degree in Biomedical or Electronic Engineering/Technology or related field.
Two years of electronic or biomedical equipment maintenance or related experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis.
Department of Defense Biomedical Equipment Technician program and one year of biomedical equipment maintenance or related experience may substitute for degree.
A completed formal biomedical internship or externship program that requires 300 training hours and one year of biomedical equipment maintenance or related experience may substitute for degree.
Biomedical equipment experience is preferred.
Requires working knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
