The Salvation Army will be offering a 5K virtual race fundraiser during the month of April. Registrants for Operation Stomp Out: A Virtual Run for Real Results will receive a T-shirt, Participants will run or walk at their own pace, record their times and submit them to The Salvation Army. When we receive the times, we will award each participant who completes the run a medal.

“We are very excited to offer this opportunity for fitness-minded individuals in Gainesville and Alachua County to leverage their regular routine into helping a great cause," said Major Hank Harwell Corps Officer. "Operation Stomp Out is a simple fundraiser that will benefit The Salvation Army in Gainesville and Alachua County with the services we provide to the community, such as our food pantry, utility assistance and our after school program. These are services that we offer year round, and as such, support is needed year round.” 

The Salvation Army is also actively seeking sponsors for this event. Sponsors will receive promotion on the T-shirts, mentions on media outlets, and other expressions of gratitude.
