The Gainesville Big Band, under the direction of Marco Thomas, will perform at Free Fridays on July 15, 2022 at Bo Diddley Plaza from 7pm-9pm. The band will perform songs ranging from jazz standards to pop. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy music under the stars. This is free and open to the public.
The Gainesville Big Band assembles some of the best professional jazz musicians spanning the southeast. Under the direction of Marco Thomas, this live 17-piece big band, delivers a rich, full sound. Since 2007, the band has brought big band jazz to Gainesville and the surrounding areas.
