    The Gainesville Fisher House is a ''Home away from Home'' for the family members of veterans or military personnel who are being treated for serious illness, surgery at the VA Hospital. This hospital is the tertiary care facility for the North Florida/South Georgia VA Healthcare System, the busiest in the country.
    Our Gainesville Fisher House was completely built with private donations and gifted to the VA. Our Gainesville Fisher House Foundation requested this house and was responsible for a large percentage of the construction cost and has established an endowment for the purpose of continual support of the needs of the house and the guests through our Walk Of Courage.
