Gainesville Orchestra -- "Go to the Circus" & Chamber After Hours
The Gainesville Orchestra and the Gainesville Area Chamber are inviting families to attend a special, family-friendly edition of Chamber After Hours followed by “Go To The Circus,” the final ‘Innovation Gainesville’ concert event of the season on May 8, 2015. The special concert will feature kid-friendly favorites, including the World-Famous Flying Wallendas with tightropes, trapeze, juggling and more. The Gainesville Orchestra will be playing live renditions of music from Disney’s “Frozen,” as well as music of “Carousel,” “Carmen,” “James Bond,” and The 1812 Overture.
The Chamber-sponsored concert will be held at the UF Phillips Center for the Performing Arts on May 8 at 7:30 p.m., immediately after the family-friendly edition of Chamber After Hours, which will begin at 6 p.m.
The performance continues the Gainesville Orchestra’s season theme of Innovation Gainesville, mirroring Gainesville’s celebrated and rising innovation-based economy that is quickly gaining a reputation as a driving force in attracting and retaining next-generation workers.
