Gainesville Housing Authority to host Story Time and Ice Cream Social in celebration of Fair Housing Month
In honor of Fair Housing Month, Gainesville Housing Authority (GHA) in collaboration with City of Gainesville’s Equal Opportunity Office, Alachua County’s Equal Opportunity Office and Gainesville Alachua County Association of Realtors (GACAR) is hosting its second “Fair Housing Story time Event”. A family friendly event where we will read “It’s okay to be different” aloud, followed by a discussion on diversity and inclusion and how it relates to fair housing. A representative of Alachua County Equal Opportunity Office will be doing a special informational session on how fair housing impacts everyone. Following story time everyone will be treated to an ice cream social. The event will take place Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 4-6PM at the Cade Museum (811 S. Main Street, Gainesville, FL 32601).
