Dr. Mathias joins UF Health Psychiatric Hospital as the new physician attending of the Addiction Medicine unit.

We would like to welcome Kent Mathias, MD to UF Health Psychiatric Hospital as our new inpatient attending physician of the Addiction Medicine unit (West). He is also a member of the Psychiatric department as Assistant Professor in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Mathias received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine after completing his undergraduate education in Georgia where he was a certified firefighter, EMT, and deputy coroner. He did his psychiatry residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine where he served as chief resident and was a departmental representative on several committees for the College of Medicine including the Admissions and Reaccreditation Committees.
