Dr. Sandra Pyda Joins Alivia Care @ Home as Medical Director
Alivia Care @ Home is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Sandra Pyda, MD, as its new Medical Director. Dr. Pyda brings a wealth of expertise in family medicine and hospital care to her new role, further strengthening Alivia Care @ Home’s commitment to providing exceptional care to patients in North Florida.
Originally from New York with a strong Polish heritage, Dr. Pyda is fluent in Polish and passionate about connecting with diverse communities. She moved to Gainesville, Fla., in 2020 to pursue her UCF/HCA Graduate Medical Education Consortium residency. After completing her three-year training, she graduated in June 2023 as a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician.
Dr. Pyda began her career as a full-time hospitalist, caring for acutely ill patients in hospital settings. She is also intensely dedicated to academia, serving as core faculty and Assistant Professor for her former family medicine residency program. In these roles, she mentors residents in both inpatient and outpatient care. In her new position as Medical Director at Alivia Care @ Home, Dr. Pyda will oversee clinical operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient-centered care for individuals and families.
