North Florida Pet Adoption Day: Find Your Forever Friend This Summer

Gainesville, FL — This summer, save a life and find your next best friend at North Florida Pet Adoption Day, presented by VyStar Credit Union, on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Humane Society of North Central Florida (4205 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609).

Each spring and summer, shelters across North Central Florida fill to capacity with cats, dogs, and litters of kittens and puppies. North Florida Pet Adoption Day is your chance to make a difference by providing a loving home to a pet in need.

Thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA, adoption fees will be waived for all adult pets (5 months and older). All adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped—ready to go home the same day!

Event Highlights:

• Over 100 dogs and cats available for same-day adoption

• Free adoption fees for adult pets

• Free-roaming cat rooms and dog kennel visits (approved adoption application required)

• No pre-holds or early adoptions on puppies

Kitten season is in full swing, and dozens of adorable younglings are searching for families to grow up with. For those who prefer more mature companions, we also have plenty of experienced cats who know how to cat—and do it well!
