Rock The Runway Fashion Show Raised $47,000 for
Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida, Inc.
Gainesville, FL – December 2, 2022 – Butler Enterprises hosted Rock the Runway 2022, an annual holiday fashion show benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida, Inc. The event was held on November 16th at Butler Town Center at Stengel Field and raised $47,000 dollars. All proceeds went to the Ronald McDonald House located here in Gainesville, FL.
This annual night of fun, fashion, and philanthropy showcased not only the latest holiday fashions and trends of tenants located at the shops of Butler but also Gainesville’s spirit of volunteerism. Volunteers from Chase Bank provided guest services to Rock the Runway attendees. UF Alpha Delta Pi provided guest services for raffle baskets. Models that volunteered to Rock the Runway included VP and General Manager of WCJB TV 20, Alan Chapman, Vice-President, R.E. Robinson Remodeling & Custom Builder, LLC, Bobbie Robinson, and Ronald McDonald House Charities North Central Florida, Executive Director, Sherry Houston.
Entertainment was a collaborative effort provided by DJ Elio, select dancers representing the University of Florida Dance program, and Mayra Kucera Dickerson from The Gainesville String Quartet. The night’s décor and holiday ambiance were provided by Keith Watson Events and WCJB TV20 was Rock the Runway 2022 media sponsor. WCJB TV20 Reporter Kristen Chase emceed the 2022 event.
Thirty models of all ages participated in this year’s Rock the Runway model awards; Rocked the Runway, People’s Choice, Show Stopper, and Paparazzi Favorite. Donations collected from this model award voting system raised close to $20,000 dollars. The model that grossed the most amount wore winter wardrobe essentials from Athleta Girl and raised almost $3,500. Various raffle gift baskets raised over $2,500.
Butler Enterprises partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida to create this night of giving. Rock the Runway 2022 hosted by Butler is the third annual event benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities located in Gainesville, a nonprofit that has been providing care, comfort, and hugs for over 40 years to families seeking medical attention for their child.
