Human Resources Administrative Assistant

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and organized individual to join the team as a Human Resources Administrative Assistant in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative assistance to the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)
- Answer multi-line phone and take messages.
- File paperwork appropriately.
- Ensure that all office supplies are in stock.
- Maintain the department's office equipment (i.e. make sure printer has toner, fax machine and printer have proper maintenance, etc.).
- Work closely with the Director of Human Resources, District Administrative Services Coordinators, and the Safety and Risk Coordinator.
- Address employment verification requests in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain and update employee driving information and status; and report.
- Ensure that all regions have a suitable amount of orientation day supplies and materials; restock if necessary.
- Create, maintain, and distribute employee ID badges, as needed.
- Prepare and organize reports as needed for quarterly meetings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Establish effective working relationships with coworkers and the public
- Organize and manage time effectively
- Maintain records in an organized fashion
- Follow moderately complex oral and written instructions
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Work with confidential records and maintain confidentiality of these materials
- One year of working experience in an office environment preferred
