How We Got Over: Resistance, Persistence, Transcendence: An evening of Afrofuture Spirituality and Music

Join us for a lively conversation with guest scholar and performer, Dr. Louise Toppin (University of Michigan) and Dr. Joseph Brown (Southern Illinois University). This discussion will explore teaching Gospel and Black church music to new and diverse audiences, highlighting contemporary spiritual music by African American composers and performers. Reception to follow.
