Date: August 29, 2024
Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
Join us as we celebrate the opening of City Food Hall Gainesville!

City Food Hall Gainesville - Located within The Standard at Gainesville complex and just across from the University of Florida campus, the new 14,000 sq foot food hall will showcase emerging and established local chefs from 10 specialty restaurant concepts. The diverse food offering will be complemented by an expansive, full-service neighborhood bar, and a dynamic entertainment schedule.
Each food vendor in the hall has been selected based on their ability to bring diverse culinary creations, as well as a unique concept, flair, and passion for their craft. From authentic Middle Eastern and Asian fusion cuisine to succulent smash burgers, and handcrafted lemonade and gelato, City Food Hall Gainesville will offer something for every palette and occasion.

From regular weekly happenings to special events, and live entertainment, City Food Hall Gainesville will feature a comprehensive entertainment schedule to make this a dynamic community dining and entertainment hub. As well as being a boost to the local culinary scene, the food hall will act as an incubator for Gainesville’s culinary talent, providing a turn-key space for food entrepreneurs to build their businesses and test their concepts, before ultimately branching out to open their own brick and mortar locations.

City Food Hall is the brainchild of Peter Rounce and Kenzie Motai, who between them have successfully
masterminded, opened, and operated food halls in multiple cities including Miami, New Orleans, Houston and Chicago. In 2021 the pair of industry veterans launched the City Food Hall brand with an uncompromising focus on delivering diverse culinary communities complemented by compelling entertainment and event programming. Since its launch, City Food Hall has been at the forefront of the food hall phenomenon, opening halls in Destin and West Palm Beach, Florida, with additional food halls opening soon in Orlando and Gainesville, Florida, and Athens, Georgia.

There will be drinks, food, speeches, and giveaways!
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will commence at 11:30 AM.
