Time: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM EST
Event Description:

Join P.K. Yonge (www.pkyonge.ufl.edu) and experts from CAST (http://www.cast.org/about) for a shared discussion about Universal Design for Learning addressing learner variability, implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and the impact in today’s schools.

Discussion Topics:

  • Learner Variability and Implications for Education
  • Designing for ALL: What is UDL Curriculum?
  • Intersections of UDL and Social Justice Education

Today’s educators are tasked to teach students to a high standard while meeting the needs of a broad range of learners in a single classroom. This cannot be done through a single, one-size-fits-all solution.

Universal Design for Learning provides flexible supports and scaffolds resulting in individualized pathways for a variety of students within one learning environment.
