Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM EST
Event Description:
Join us as we celebrate Gainesville Karma Thegsum Choling!
Gainesville Karma Thegsum Choling (GKTC) is a Buddhist meditation and practice center in the Tibetan Karma Kagyu tradition, led by resident teacher, Lama Losang (David Bole). Founded in 1988 after a visit from Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, what began as a study group has evolved into GKTC. Since this time, GKTC has met weekly for dharma study and practice. They offer a traditional Tibetan Buddhist program, plus an informal discussion format. The Tibetan name for their group “Karma Thegsum (pronounced Tegsum) Chöling” roughly means “place of dharma teaching” with Karma referring to our lineage name of Karma Kagyu. They hope you will enjoy their “sangha,” or community of practitoners.

We are excited to help Gainesville Karma Thegsum Choling celebrate 25 years! Join us for mingling, food, music and more. The ribbon cutting ceremony will commence at 4:30pm.
