LifeSouth Teams Up with Dance Alive National Ballet to Save Lives
LifeSouth invites the community to help replenish the local blood supply when they team up with Dance Alive National Ballet. Donors can stop by LifeSouth’s donor centers at 1221 NW 13 Street or 4039 Newberry Road from January 22 to January 31 to receive two tickets to the February 12 performance of Love in the Swamp at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
As the Florida hospitals LifeSouth serves are still feeling the effects of the winter weather, eligible donors in the community are encouraged to help ensure a safe blood supply for local patients. LifeSouth is the sole provider of blood to Gainesville hospitals, including UF Health, HCA Florida North Florida Hospital and the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center.
All donors will receive a recognition item and a complimentary cholesterol screening. Blood donors must be at least 17 (16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
