iG was created in 2010 by the Chamber and community leaders to chart our own path for economic progress. iG has become the foundation of an economic environment for our region that fosters the growth of innovation and technology companies that create jobs for all levels of experience and education – from the GED to the PhD. Now that Gainesville has been established as an international hub for innovation and technology and we continue to grow through that initiative, the time is upon us plan for what’s next.
iG has enlisted the expertise of Avalanche Consulting, a leading national consultancy based out of Austin, TX that works with progressive communities to transform their economies and boasts over 40 years as economic development strategists.
The results of months of analysis and research will be unveiled at iG’s Regional Economic Forum, which will take place on June 27 at Santa Fe College’s Fine Arts Hall. The iG Regional Economic Forum will feature a presentation from Avalanche’s Holloway to explain where the best opportunities are for the next 3-4 years, as well as keynote speaker Rebecca Ryan, founder of Next Generation Consulting, a renowned economist that inspires her audiences to think differently about the future. She is the author of Life First, Work Second, and ReGENERATION and has earned accolades as ‘a voice for the next generation’ and will soon be releasing her newest book, What’s Next?.
