Name: Invertigo Dance Theatre – Formulae & Fairy Tales
Date: February 5, 2020
Time: 7:30 PM - 7:30 PM EST
Event Description:

Based on the life and work of WWII code-breaker and father of artificial intelligence Alan Turing, as well as his connection to Snow White’s poisoned apple, this intimate, evocative performance merges mathematical precision with smooth physicality, sensuality, and comedy.

Exploring queerness, technology, and fantasy, Formulae & Fairy Tales is an evening of virtuosic narrative-driven dance theatre set in overlapping worlds, where cold, high-stakes mathematics meets a vivid, twisted palette of fairy-tale beauty.

This performance contains sensitive subject matter.

Formulae & Fairy Tales was made possible by the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
