Event Description:
Artist Todd McGrain, creator of “The Lost Bird Project,” will speak Oct. 25 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Florida Museum of Natural History. McGrain sculpted the statues of five extinct North American bird species, ranging from 4 to 6 feet in height, as a tribute to endangered and extinct species, and placed them in the locations they were last seen in the wild. The museum will display the statues for a year beginning Nov. 1. McGrain’s presentation is free and open to the public.
