Who is Lawyer Don Burris?
The 2015 movie Woman in Gold, starring Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds, was based on the true story of Maria Altmann, who together with her lawyers, fought to recover an iconic Gustav Klimt painting stolen from her family by the Nazis.
Attorney Don Burris was one of the two lawyers that worked on this case.  His partner, Randol Schoenberg, was the other attorney.   Atty. Burris will talk about the real-life events that inspired the film and the legal battle to restore to the rightful owners of the art stolen by the Nazis decades ago. You won’t want to miss this golden speaker!
