In January, the City of Gainesville passed an ordinance prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender identity -- creating a new protected class for purposes of credit, housing, employment and public accommodations. This educational forum will focus on the "nuts and bolts" of the ordinance's implementation as well as the "pros and cons" of the public policy decision. Please join us on Wednesday, July 16, from 8 - 9 a.m. at Gator's Dockside, 3842 Newberry Rd, Suite 1 A. Members: FREE; Future Members: $5. Speakers will include representatives from both sides of the issue as well as city staff charged with enforcing the ordinance. To register, please visit www.gainesvillechamber.com or call 352-334-7100 for more information. We hope you will attend and bring any questions you might have.
