In January, the City of Gainesville passed an ordinance prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender identity -- creating a new protected class for purposes of credit, housing, employment and public accommodations. This educational forum will focus on the "nuts and bolts" of the ordinance's implementation as well as the "pros and cons" of the public policy decision.
