Event Description:
The University of Florida School of Music presents the UF Summer Symphony Orchestra as part of Creative B, funded by the Office of the Provost, July 2 – August 7, 2018. The UF Summer Symphony Orchestra is open to UF students, faculty, as well as Gainesville community members. A UF affiliation is not required, and there is no fee for participation, but participating musicians must be available for all rehearsals and the concert. UF students can earn academic credit for the Summer B semester.
Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 - 8:30 p.m. in Music Building room 121. The concert will be Tuesday, August 7 at 7:30 in the University Auditorium and is free and open to the public.
Audition Information
Auditions are Monday, July 2 in Music Building room 121. Email Dr. Chip Birkner at chipbirk@ufl.edu to reserve an audition time.
