Essential Functions of Position:
o Communicate daily and weekly goals.
o Supervise, participate alongside, and provide effective training and constructive feedback to volunteers who are completing insulation, drywall, mudding, painting, flooring, trim, doors, and other phases of construction.
o Serve as a liaison between the homeowner and volunteers.
Member Evaluation: Members will receive mid-year and end-of-year evaluations and complete necessary weekly and/or monthly data reports and bi-weekly timesheets in OnCorps.

- Building the Way Home for Disaster Survivors: SBP serves the most vulnerable homeowners in a community impacted by a major disaster through its Recovery Services. These services are currently offered in eight states across the Gulf South, where the risk of major natural disasters is greatest.
- Building Readiness and Resilience Through Local Partnership: SBP supports low-capacity, high-risk communities through its Advisory Services, providing training, consulting, and organizational capacity-building through a team of subject-matter experts and Resilience Fellows.

Essential Functions of Position:
- Actively participate in construction projects, completing each phase of construction on schedule with or without the presence of volunteers.
- Interact professionally and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with other team members, staff, homeowners, and volunteers.
- Maintain the ability to perform strenuous, physical labor in different climates, over long periods of time.
- When volunteers are present, Project Leads must:
o Communicate daily and weekly goals.
o Supervise, participate alongside, and provide effective training and constructive feedback to volunteers who are completing insulation, drywall, mudding, painting, flooring, trim, doors, and other phases of construction.
o Serve as a liaison between the homeowner and volunteers.
- Attend walkthroughs with the Project Managers to understand work.
- Properly organize, track, and document all bids, work, and warranty information from subcontractors.
- Ensure all electronic construction files, Gantt charts, Excel tracking documents, and whiteboards are up to date with accurate information.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and inspections to complete work on clients’ homes as needed.
- Participate in September 11th Day of Remembrance and Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service events, which may take place on a weekend or during holidays and include activities outside of the scope of typical day-to-day functions.
- Prepare orders assigned by Project Managers including pulling tools and materials from the warehouse or picking them up from a local vendor.
- Assist with tracking, organizing, repairing, and cleaning tools.
- Be at least 17 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States
- Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in challenging situations, including client crises
- Ability to clearly communicate needs and expectations to people of various backgrounds
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Pass a criminal history check to include National Sex Offender Registry, State, and FBI
- Stipend of $2,227.9 per month (pre-tax) -

Training:
- Members will receive service—and site-specific training to prepare them for their service and are required to attend orientation
- Member training hours meet the requirements of 45 CFR §2520.50
