Spherion Gainesville, FL has a client looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations at their Alachua, FL facility. Schedule: FT 6am - 6pm - 40 hours
Salary: $29-36/hr

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production goals are met
- Monitor and manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are consistently met
- Oversee production workflow, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective process improvements to increase efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment for all employees
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet company and industry standards
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods, ensuring adequate stock for production
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve any operational challenges promptly
- Train, mentor, and develop production employees to improve skills, performance, and team efficiency
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including work instructions, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Collaborate with other departments, including Maintenance, Quality Control, and Logistics, to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues
- Track and report on production metrics, including output, downtime, and waste reduction
- Other duties as assigned

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Skills:
- Experience with continuous improvement practices such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor?s degree in Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of production systems, scheduling, and inventory management
- Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and regulations
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff at all levels
- Prolonged periods standing and walking
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times
- Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment
- Ability to climb, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulder level
- Ability to withstand varying temperatures
- Must be able to work in different positions for a very long period of time and ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time
- Must be able to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment required for each job task (Steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and hard hat)
