About
United Way of North Central Florida (UWNCFL) has been a cornerstone of community support and development in the region for over 60 years. Established in 1957, the organization began as a means to centralize charitable giving and address critical needs in local communities. Initially focused on coordinating fundraising efforts, UWNCFL has evolved into a driving force for impactful, long-term change through collaboration, innovation, and service.
The organization’s mission centers on improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community to advance the common good. UWNCFL focuses on four key areas: healthy community, youth opportunity, financial security, and community resiliency. These pillars guide their programs and partnerships, ensuring sustainable solutions to systemic challenges. -
